Welcome

The Chamber choir of the Bulgarian orthodox church in Berlin was founded in the summer of 2004. The choir-master Boryana Ceretti-Velichkova founded with the blessing of the Right Reverend metropolitan of West and Central Europe Simeon the choir, which is composed mostly of bulgarian students, who love the church and choir music. The choir members rehearse every week with much enthusiasm and love for church music and bulgarian folklore. Immediately after the its founding the choir began to participate regularly at sunday mass in the bulgarian church and shortly after that it became known among the other church communities, from which it receives invitations for concerts and other enterprises.

Already in the second year from its founding the choir became member of the International convent of the christian communities in Berlin-Brandenburg and since 2010 is member in the Association of the Berlin Choirs. With this high honour the choir receives many invitations to participate at representative concerts. The repertoire of the choir consists in works of Dobri Hristov, Petar Dinev, P. I. Tchaikovsky, D. Bortnyansky, P. G. Chesnokov, Filip Kutev, Ivan Spassov, Petar Lyondev, Stefan Mutaftchiev, Atanas Naumov a. o.
Now when Bulgaria is a member of the European Union, we are happy to contribute with our efforts to the popularity of our country.

We hope that with our music we can reach out to the hearts of the bulgarians in Berlin and remind the with the power of the song of the beauty of our culture.
